What will you be doing
- Development and design of new bending and punching tools.
- Further development, optimisation and modification of existing tools.
- Active involvement in the expansion and further development of our toolmaking department in the areas of maintenance, repair and new construction.
- Development and implementation of in-house technologies in the field of sheet metal processing tools.
- Design of:
o insert tools,
o progressive dies,
o transfer dies. - Independent development and design of punching strips and part unfoldings.
- Implementation of modifications and optimisations to existing dies.
- Further development and maintenance of the drawing management system for new productions and for modifications to existing dies.
- Close collaboration with the toolmaking, production and work planning departments to ensure the continuous improvement of dies and manufacturing processes.
Your profile and Qualifications
- A completed technical qualification as a mechanical engineer, toolmaker, technical product designer or technician (m/f/d) specialising in toolmaking or mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Candidates from other disciplines are also welcome.
- Experience in the design of punching, bending, progressive and transfer dies would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in using a 3D CAD system (SolidWorks).
- General technical understanding.
- An independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work.
- High quality awareness and a strong understanding of costs and deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team, initiative and strong communication skills.
- Confident and accurate handling of technical drawings, as well as experience in drawing management and documentation.
